Sermon Series
Maintenance to Mission
In Matthews gospel Chapter 28, in the New Testament of the bible, Jesus instructs his disciples to go out into all nations to teach others about all Jesus had commanded them to do. It is referred to the ‘Great Commission’ and is as relevant to Christians today as it was then.
In our latest sermon series from “Maintenance to Mission’ we will be considering this calling from Jesus and how we can maintain this in our daily lives. We will reflect how we can know our mission field within the world, our nation, our community, and our family.
We will study the tools that we will need and how we can utilise the skills and gifts that we have and those we could develop more. We will deliberate the challenges that this role can bring and how we can be prepared and respond to others in a Christlike way.
Missions can be seen as a short burst of activity over a few weeks, but this series is encouraging us to persevere and make this an integral part of our Christian walk as Jesus commanded. By corporately studying as a church community, we can support and motivate each other to act in accordance with God’s word.
