Making a Difference
Making a Difference is our church’s value and objective and you will see it on our logo above. The dictionary describes ‘Make a Difference’ as 'to have an effect, for things to matter, or to change the outlook or situation'. This is what we aim to do but with a Christlike (Jesus-inspired) approach.
Below we have considered some of the ways that we believe we do this:
In our church by
Worshipping God
Preaching and studying
the Word of God
Praying together
Sharing in fellowship with others
Loving one another
Supporting one another
In our community of Hayling Island by
Welcoming everyone
Praying for our community
Offering family fun days
Reaching out to the people of Hayling Island with the gospel of Jesus
Providing much needed food though Hayling Holiday Lunches scheme
Visiting schools and helping with assemblies to share stories of Jesus
Visiting care homes to share the love of Jesus
In our nation by
Praying for our nation's needs
Praying for our nation’s leaders
In the world by
Praying for world mission
Interceding for the world needs
Supporting Mutima and Victors Church in Uganda
Sometimes we can see the difference that we make with those listed above and other times we must leave it to God. God says we can trust Him and put everything in His hands because He is powerful, reliable, and constant. We therefore trust that Christlike, Spirit-led actions will make the kind of difference that shines God's goodness into the world.
