Acts 25 - Paul before Festus and Agrippa
Morning everyone! You'll notice that after our young people's segment, a portion of our service is brought to you from the Community Centre. This is because we're working hard to abide by the government advice to get our services to the point where we can both present them to a live congregation and cater for those who still need to be cautious and can't attend yet.
Father, thank you for all the amazing resources You have placed at our disposal. We pray that you'd work through us to use them to their best potential in bringing You glory and opening up opportunities for others to share safely in what you're doing here in, and through, Hayling Island Baptist Church. We thank you too for our members and ask that you would please make it possible for us to meet together again as soon as possible. Amen

Sarah was really old (90) when she had Isaac. I wonder how old she was when she died? To find out have a look in the book of Genesis chapter 23 and verse 1.
Matthew 5:14-16 (The Message paraphrased)
14-16 You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colours in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. Go public with this, as public as a city up on a hill! If Jesus makes you light-bearers, you don’t think He’s going to hide you under a bucket, do you? He’s putting you on a light stand. So shine! Be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up to God, their generous Father in heaven.
Father, give us opportunities to SHINE your love in both the words we speak and the things we do amongst the people you bring across our paths each day. We know it is your Holy Spirit at work in people's minds and hearts that brings about lasting change; so help us to be ever mindful of Your promptings that we may move in step with You.
And now may the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us all, now and always.
In Jesus name
Next week (30 May) we will attempt to stream a service for the first time on a Sunday morning at 10am, but not with a congregation just yet, so please subscribe to our YouTube Channel "Hayling Island Baptist Church" to join in. You can do so here by clicking on the red "subscribe" button. We have more than one channel. The one you need looks like this:
If for any reason you don't come right, it will be linked to our usual website format by Sunday afternoon.
All going well, we are hoping to open services for both live streaming and live attendance in June.
