Hayling Island Baptist Church was
planted out from Leigh Park Baptist Church, Havant, in 1994 and became
autonomous in 1995. The congregation meet in the
Hayling Island
Community Centre,
Station Road, West Town. We have no permanent
premises, but manage well enough in this useful facility.
In 2005 our Minister, Rev'd Jacky
Storey was inducted as Pastor, having been trained at Spurgeon’s Bible
College whilst serving at Shirley Warren Action Church in Southampton.
She is working together with the church and the leadership team, to
see the love of God make a difference in the lives of individuals and
communities both at home and overseas.
Over the last few years Jacky has been able to deepen
links with other churches on Hayling Island, and we are a very active
member of the
Churches Together On Hayling
(CTOH), being committed to
Mission together.
Recently
Messy Church has been
established as a regular event during school terms.
We look forward to further growth in numbers and depth of Christian Life,
to be making a difference, under God's hand on Hayling and further
afield.

Hayling Island Baptist Church has
adopted a Cell Church pattern for week-day meetings in homes, mostly
on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, but with the addition of a
day-time group. For more information please go to
Cells.
